Intro about the position

As the UI/WebDev Department Lead, you will oversee 2 skilled teams, totaling more than 10 professionals dedicated to web development. Our ambition doesn't stop here; we are poised to expand into mobile development and explore opportunities in augmented reality. Your role will be to create and execute the department’s strategy.

About the department

Our web development is focused on data-intensive enterprise applications for industrial companies. For example, we’ve developed a service support app for technicians of farming robots or a web portal for servicing professional coffee machines. We often collaborate on projects with other departments: data engineering and data science.

Your role

Your role will be to create the department strategy for all its aspects - people, projects, skills, technology - and manage them. You will be responsible for strategic planning, standards, processes, and HR as well as ensuring quality of the projects and products.

You will

Define and implement the department strategy in alignment with Datamole’s vision and goals.
Establish technical guidelines, standards and processes to deliver consistent, high-quality products and services.
Keep the teams and department organized in an effective and efficient structure, including upgrading and reorganizing talent as required.
Engage with customers and product owners.

You should have:

Proven leadership skills
Experience with leading multiple teams and multiple projects
Tech. competence in web development
Design and architecture skills
A very good command of English and Czech

We do full stack web app development using the component-driven development approach.

Technologies used: TypeScript, React, Redux, Vite, Node.js, NestJS, Prisma, Kysely
Development tools: GitHub, Storybook, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD
Cloud and database: Azure, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL
